Working Together Compact Code of Best Practice
The Working Together Code sets out joint undertakings for members of Herefordshire Partnership relating to Consultation and Policy Appraisal.
It focuses on the way the various members of Herefordshire Partnership literally 'work together'. It covers participation in the round, including Principles and Standards for:
- Informing
- Consulting
- Partnership Working, influencing, deciding or acting together
The Code also sets out the shared values for working togther, specific undertakings of Public Sector organisations and then 'Third Sector', (Voluntary and Community) organisations. It includes a section on Confidentiality and how Complaints will be mediated and the contents of this code, reviewed.
- Appendix 1 sets out the principles of the Commissioning cycle and respective roles of both Public and Third sectors;
- Appendix 2 sets out some principles of Representation
The Alliance is leading on the development of this code, but it is a Herefordshire Partnership wide intiative, supported by the VSA and Herefordshire Infrastructure Consortium. The consultation period on the Draft 'Working together code of practice' ended on 9 February 2009.
The feedback and comments are now being discussed and an implementation and publicity plan agreed. We will publish them on this webpage as soon at they are ready.
