Presentation: Valuing the Voluntary Sector in Herefordshire This research recognises that financial assessment and ‘value’ are not the same and considers the wider social impacts of the sector in Herefordshire.

Guest speaker: Geoff Perrott - How Climate Change will affect Herefordshire
Geoff will look at information on climate change from all around the world and how it affects us here in Herefordshire. He highlights some practical things which are already happening in Herefordshire and what actions you and your organisation can take to reduce the impact locally and globally.

We will also be calculating the carbon footprint of getting to the event and will be off setting this throught the donation of energy saving light bulbs to a community building.  Please contact Sue Black if you know of a building that would benefit from 'free' lightbulbs.

Workshops include:
• Bidding for success – Clare Wichbold on how to get your funding application right first time
• Getting the evidence – Pauline Striplin & Gill Swaithes explore how to consult effectively using a range of techniques
• Using our voice – Nelson Training on how we can represent the diverse views of Voluntary & Community Sector
• Excluded from English - Mark Woodward (HELP) on making your message easy to understand, whether you have English as a first or second language
