More about the VSA
The Voluntary Sector Assembly was set up in in 2000 following a conference in 1997 where the Community and Voluntary Sector were asked how they would like to be involved in the the new Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire Partnership.
It is a way for the sector to come together and discuss issues of common concern and collectively influence local decisions.
Founding members were Community and Voluntary Action Ledbury and District, Community First, and the Community and Voluntary Services that came together to form Herefordshire Voluntary Action. It predates the formation of Herefordshire Infrastructure Consortium.
Currently the post of Voluntary Sector Assembly Co-ordinator is hosted by Herefordshire Voluntary Action.
