Myplace - Expressions of Interest Wanted
myplace - youth facilities funding
The development of a Herefordshire bid. myplace is a DCSF scheme that aims to deliver world class youth facilities, driven by active participation of young people and their views and needs. We are now at the stage in developing the bid of finding out which organisations would be interested in being involved in the project, either in leading it or providing some services at the new facility, so that this information can be incorporated. The scheme is being run via a bidding process. Nationally, myplace will deliver £190m of Government capital investment over the next three years through grants of between £1m and £5m.
Attached is a letter providing much more information on this opportunity and the work going on in Herefordshire, a register of interest form and a service provider survey.
You are welcome to read the attached letter and complete and return a register of interest form or the service provider survey as appropriate, to Jennifer Lockwood (contact details in letter attachment) by the 15th August.
If you have any questions on myplace please contact Jennifer Lockwood who is co-ordinating this. Please do forward this information to anyone else you feel may be interested.
The final application for funding, when prepared, will go to the Herefordshire Partnership Chief Executive Group, by written procedure, to request your support and endorsement, prior to submission. Your feedback in the meantime, will help develop the application.
The tight timescale for responses is dictated by the deadline for submission of the bid.
