How we operate
The VSA is a collaborative project, supported by Herefordshire Infrastructure Consortium, a project which brings together the following organisations that provide support services for Community and Voluntary Groups in Herefordshire:
- Community First,
- Age Concern Herefordshire,
- Ledbury & District Council for Community and Voluntary Action
- Herefordshire Voluntary Action
- Herefordshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services
Representatives from each of the above organisation sit on our steering group together with VSA Representatives, The Herefordshire Council and The Herefordshire Partnership (these last two attend in an advisory capacity). The Chair person of the steering group is Will Lindesay, Chief Executive Officer of Herefordshire Voluntary Action. He is also responsible for managing the VSA Co-ordinator.
• The steering group meets about every 6/8 weeks to:
• Review our current representational work
• Provide support and guidance to staff
• Review and formulate policy and strategy
• Consider how best to represent the interests of the voluntary & community sector
• Ensure close working relationships with partners within and outside the voluntary & community sector
