The VSA believes in collaborative working and sharing the task of representing the community and voluntary sector.  We work with  The Alliance  - a membership organisation of health and social care organisations.  They share details of their representational work with the VSA.  Visit their website www.allianceherefordshire.org.uk

The VSA is also working closely with the newly formed LINk for Herefordshire that is hosted by the Carers Federation.  LINks are a new statutory requirement for every area to make sure the whole country has a way for individuals, groups and organisations to have their say on  health and social care. LINks are another way to get information about services and the way they are delivered locally.

A further route for information about Health and Social Care is the Herefordshire Gateway

“The Gateway is an internet hub which enables organisations to locate charities' services in a given area, for a specific need and client. Fast-track referrals can then be made securely by registered users, 24/7. There is a linked free phone telephone number staffed by a Gateway Officer from 9-5 during weekdays. The website also features local news and Third Sector recruitment pages”

The free Herefordshire Gateway phone number is  0800 195 4550

A new easy health website for people with learning disabilities has now been launched and the address is www.easyhealth.org.uk
